Mark is the CEO of Icon Group which incorporates Icon Cancer Care, Radiation Oncology Centres, Epic Pharmacy and Slade Health. He is passionate about ensuring accessibility to world class cancer care for all Australians.
In 2007, as the CEO of Radiation Oncology Queensland (ROQ) he led the highly successful clinical commencement of ROQ Toowoomba, repeated the success in 2011 with ROQ Cairns and 2014 with ROQ Gold Coast. Mark was the driving force behind the acquisitions of Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) and Oceania Oncology to form ROC.
Mark is a highly regarded radiation therapist with 24 peer reviewed publications and has been an invited guest speaker both nationally and internationally. He has a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Australian Institute of Radiography. He has an accomplished list of business and professional awards including:

Jim brings natural leadership and a strong understanding of healthcare to his position as Radiation Oncology Centres CEO.
Jim completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation) at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is currently working towards a Masters of Business Administration (University of Southern Queensland).
Jim commenced working in the oncology sector soon after graduating. He has held a number of senior positions instrumental in driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency and delivering leading quality programs.
With extensive experience in executive management within radiation oncology, Jim was the founding deputy chief radiation therapist at ROC (formerly Radiation Oncology Queensland). In October 2015, Jim was appointed as CEO of Radiation Oncology Centres. Jim maintains operational oversight of nine centres nationally and a team of over 200 staff.
Jim’s commitment is to provide evidence-based healthcare in an efficient and patient-centric private healthcare setting. He oversees high performance teams, and recently managed the only remote planning service in the country.
Research remains a passion of Jim’s. He is widely published and has coordinated national clinical trials in collaboration with TROG (Trans Radiation Oncology Group).
Fritha has a strong belief in developing great teams to deliver the highest quality of care. Having recently joined Icon Group to take up the position of COO – Cancer Care [Australia], encompassing both ROC and Icon Cancer Care. Fritha is focused on driving the organisation’s leadership position in the Australian oncology landscape.
She has a strong understanding of the private healthcare space having recently been the Director of the Mater Springfield campus. Prior to that, Fritha led the redesign of the Mater hospital service following closure of the children’s hospital. She began her career as a management consultant with Ernst and Young in Auckland, New Zealand, specialising in strategic planning, project management and process reengineering, with a strong healthcare focus. Fritha has followed this with a wide range of consulting and operational management roles in Australia, New Zealand and Canada – both in and out of the healthcare sector. Her business acumen and healthcare knowledge will add incredible value to ROC.
